Event Power & Inflatable Generator Requirements
Powering multiple large-scale interactive inflatables is a critical piece of safe event planning. Whether you are coordinating a massive school field day, a church festival, or a corporate gathering, understanding circuit loads prevents unexpected outages and keeps the fun moving. Below, we outline our strict operational standards for generator rentals and electrical distribution across the Bay Area Peninsula and our East Bay service area.
Generator Requirements for Commercial Inflatables
Strict Power Rules: For any inflatable or obstacle course where participants are actively jumping or racing, we enforce a strict rule of 1 blower per dedicated 15-amp circuit. This guarantees constant, maximum airflow and keeps participants safe.
The Math Example: If your event features our multi-piece interactive obstacle courses that utilize 4 independent blowers, your setup will require exactly 4 separate circuits or 4 matching generators.
Why We Prohibit Overloading: Standard consumer-grade or 5,000-watt jobsite generators typically output 24 to 26 amps max. Attempting to force two heavy commercial blowers onto a single circuit causes an immediate voltage drop, overloading the breaker and triggering a dangerous, sudden deflation of the attraction.
Commercial Generator Capacity Breakdown
- 4,000-Watt Generator: Our primary baseline unit. Perfect for powering 90% of standard interactive games up to 27 feet in length. It safely carries 1 full-size blower or small interactive sports challenges using 4โ6 amps.
- 6,500-Watt Generator: Upgraded capacity designed to continuously power up to 2 commercial blowers simultaneously without risking a breaker trip.
- 9,000-Watt Generator: High-output municipal-grade unit. Built to power up to 3 large blowers or up to 4 smaller interactive carnival/sports games. Ideal for high-throughput school and church festivals.
Using District or Venue-Supplied Power
If your school district, church venue, or city park has on-site generators or industrial power hubs, you must obtain technical clearance from Party With 630 prior to delivery. While massive corporate or school district trailer generators offer incredible power, they are often placed far away and carry specific noise and outlet restrictions.
To secure clearance, planners must email our operations team clear photographs of the generator data plate showing exact running watts, continuous amperage, and available breaker outlet configurations to ensure complete safety alignment.
Extension Cord Safety Limitations
To prevent electrical resistance and dangerous voltage drops over long distances, we enforce maximum physical cord lengths:
- Large Interactive Units & Obstacle Courses: Absolute maximum of 50 feet of heavy-gauge extension cord from the power source to the blower.
- Small Sports Games & Carnival Attractions: Maximum of 75 feet of extension cord permitted (drawing low 4โ6 amp loads).
